Brass Quartet & Voice

You read that right! Brass Quartet & Voice (and drums, too!)

With a vocalist now being so much a part of High School and College Jazz Band programs or “Modern Band” programs, I felt adding a vocalist to a brass ensemble seemed like it could also work. You know what? It does! My group, The Hampton Brass often performs programs with a vocalist and it always goes over really well. Having a singer on part of the programs has definitely widened our audience and maybe it introduces the more casual listener to the world of chamber music, too.

With that, I introduce you to the Brass Quartet with a Vocalist series. Just like the other arrangements for sale, the main video included is rendered from Finale or some other notation program. The vocal part will be represented by a MIDI ooh/ahh sound. If I have an actual performance recording, I’ll include it, too.

If you have a Brass Quintet and either the Horn in F or Trombone sings, these can work for your group as well as is! If it’s your Tuba or one of the trumpets, let me know and I can probably rearrange it.

As always, if you have a different group or need something transposed, contact me.
