Beatles vs. Stones: Part 1 Beatles
I’ve been commissioned by myself!
My brass group, The Hampton Brass Quartet + Drums is working on a few performances this fall (2025), one of which is titled “Beatles vs. Stones”. Taking the songs of these two super groups and arranging them for four brass, drums, and vocals on a few of them has been both a joy and a challenge. The group has been performing music of the Beatles for years, so thankfully there’s already some music ready to go for us. They were arranged before we added drums and the occasional vocalist. I just need to decide to keep them as they are, rework them to include the additional musicians, or start working on other selections. So far, in the catalog of Beatles, we have: Blackbird, Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, Michelle, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, and When I’m 64. Some of these will be added for sale soon.
